RideonJapan has announced Mercenaries Grace: Black Feather and the Golden Right Arm, the newest strategy RPG in the Mercenaries Saga series. It launches in Japan in November for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The studio confirmed to Gematsu that an English release is also in preparation.
What happened?
The reveal came in an official RideonJapan press notice on Friday, September 25, 2026. In Mercenaries Grace you run a mercenary company: level characters, equip skills and gear, and fight across varied stages on quarter-view, grid-based battle maps.
Units fill three main roles: Fighters for close-range attacks, Gunners for long-range fire, and Priests who heal and support allies.
Why it matters
Combat uses a chess- or shogi-style turn system: one allied unit moves, then one enemy unit acts. You cannot cycle through your whole squad before the opponent responds. Every move has to account for an immediate counterattack.
For players who followed Mercenaries Saga, Mercenaries Wings and Mercenaries Rebirth, the new title keeps RideonJapan’s compact SRPG niche alive, now with a simultaneous console and PC launch and a promised English localization.
What changes in practice
In Japan the game arrives in November 2026 on PS5, Switch and Steam. Outside Japan the window is not dated yet, only described as “in preparation.” No official price was listed in this announcement.
