MIXI announced on Sunday, September 27, 2026, the title, first PV and key visual for a new TV anime based on the mobile game Monster Strike. The lead is Mera Kagari, a high-school student who lives at the Meshia eatery in the Tomisaka shopping street. He is introverted and prone to gloomy daydreams, but described as sincere and kind. On his 16th birthday he meets Thirteen, a mysterious girl who likes spicy food. Mera’s monochrome days start to gain color — and anomalies begin in the city.
The PV, on the official YouTube channel, opens as a boy-meets-girl date invitation. In the second half the tone shifts. MIXI says Thirteen begins to radiate an unsettling atmosphere. Japanese coverage such as Anime! Anime! notes a whispered “I’ll kill you” near the end of the clip. That is what the trailer shows; the full plot is still unrevealed.
