Witch on the Holy Night comes to Crunchyroll Game Vault on mobile in 2027

The visual novel Mahoutsukai no Yoru (Witch on the Holy Night), by Kinoko Nasu and TYPE-MOON, will join Crunchyroll Game Vault in 2027 on Android and iOS outside Japan. The announcement came from Crunchyroll's New York Comic Con 2026 panel on October 8. The Game Vault version is exclusive to Mega Fan subscribers and above and arrives with HD visuals and full voice acting. It is the first time the game reaches mobile outside Japan.

Game and film are not the same product

In Japan, the Android and iOS app is set for November 20, 2026, the same day as the theatrical opening of the ufotable film. These are two different products: the remastered visual novel on phones and the animated feature, which opens in Japan on November 20, 2026, and reaches North America, Europe, and Brazil between late January and early February 2027.

The novel already had console and PC versions. It launched on December 8, 2022, for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and on December 14, 2023, on Steam. The voice cast tied to the adaptation includes Haruka Tomatsu as Aoko Aozaki, Kana Hanazawa as Alice Kuonji, and Yusuke Kobayashi as Soujyuro Shizuki.

What the October 8 announcement adds is the international mobile channel for Mahoutsukai no Yoru, not a fixed date inside 2027 or a standalone price. Outside Game Vault, the window is still described only as next year.
