What happened?
Lufia I & II The Sinistrals Saga packs ports of Lufia & the Fortress of Doom (1993) and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals (1995). The first follows a hero’s descendant and a young woman bound by fate. The prequel follows Maxim against the Sinistrals. Taito calls the ports carefully adapted for current hardware.
Steam presents Lufia I & II The Sinistrals Saga as two of the most remembered 1990s JRPGs. English and Japanese trailers are out. A precise 2027 date is still missing.
Why it matters
Lufia I & II The Sinistrals Saga brings dungeon puzzles and capsule monsters back without emulation. Official Western re-releases were rare. Switch 2 is in the package.
In practice
Players who only knew II on SNES get I in the same product. Cart owners get a modern port; pricing is not public. Clear River Games, also behind Terranigma 2027, concentrates the SNES revival in the West.
