Last Epoch Season 5, Rage of the Frostborn, is available on Steam. Eleventh Hour Games and Krafton rolled the season out on October 1, 2026, with the Rage of Morditas activity, new bosses, and three new skills.
What happened?
In Rage of Morditas, players activate Blood Crystals, fight waves, and use resources and rituals to shape reward type and quality. The season also adds the boss Morditas and the pinnacle fight Pinnacle Morditas, plus new Unique and Set items for builds.
With the patch, Mike Weicker, co-founder of Eleventh Hour Games, became Game Director of Last Epoch. He has worked on the game for more than nine years, since early development in 2017, continuing the line set by studio CEO Judd Cobler.
Why it matters
Last Epoch is a loot action RPG with time travel, crafting, and seasons in the Diablo and Path of Exile mold. Season 5 is the first major cycle after Weicker's appointment and lands in a crowded October PC calendar. Krafton said the base game is 30% off on Steam through October 9.
Launch was not clean. The director posted an apology for a Season 5 service outage and said the team restored access. Details of the interruption, including the First Blood event, stayed in the studio note, without a consolidated official duration in independent reports.
