K/DA Firestarter: group returns after 6 years with single and Fortiche video

K/DA Firestarter marks the return of the virtual K-pop group based on League of Legends champions Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai'Sa after six years. The single and music video release took place on October 19-20, 2026, coinciding with the Worlds 2026 season.

The music video was produced and directed by Fortiche Production, the same French studio behind Arcane and the original "POP/STARS" video. Voices include the return of Miyeon and Soyeon from i-dle as Ahri and Akali, plus Sophie Powers as Evelynn and Mimi Webb as Kai'Sa.

What happened?

The group had released the ALL OUT EP in 2020 and had been silent since then. Teasers began on October 14 with the phrase "Start a Fire" and close-ups of the members' eyes. The official video is available on YouTube and the track on streaming platforms.

Riot Games confirmed the return amid preparations for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. Themed "Firestarter" skins are expected in the game soon.

Why does it matter?

K/DA was one of the most successful virtual music projects originating from games, with billions of streams and views. The return after so long, especially with Fortiche involved, generates great hype among LoL, K-pop and animation fans.
