MBS starts Saturday, October 10, at 26:08, and AT-X joins Friday, October 9, at 20:30. d Anime Store simulcasts the broadcast; other platforms follow. Original character design is by Majiro, animation character design by robin, and mecha design by An of GOD BRAVE STUDIO. Music is by Kento Asahina, with sound direction by Yoshikazu Iwanami.

Why it matters

Good Smile is better known for figures than for TV anime. Jyu-Oh Mujin Dandivine opens an in-house line of combining robots, the classic gattai format of tokusatsu and mecha. The opening is Takanori Nishikawa’s “Zankyou ≠ Blaster.” The ending is “Mikansei Ordinary” by DayRe:. In the main cast, Takuma Terashima voices Gekiha Shijima, Haruka Shiraishi voices Akane Kuzumi and Nao Toyama voices Haru. Katsuyuki Konishi and Ryotaro Okiayu are also in the lineup.

The story starts 20 years after the robot Dandivine defeated the mysterious enemy Aposdoll. Peace held, but the toy maker Kasuga, which lived off Dandivine merchandise, fell into crisis. President Genjuro Shijima wants the robot back even if that disturbs the peace. When the Aposdoll return to Tokyo, student Gekiha Shijima is called by his uncle, former pilot Yusaku Kuroiwa, to climb aboard again.

What changes in practice?

Mecha and tokusatsu fans get a new episode in Japan this Wednesday, with a simulcast on d Anime Store. Crunchyroll listed Jyu-Oh Mujin Dandivine among fall titles dated October 7; a Portuguese dub or subtitle confirmation was not in the Good Smile notice. The official site is gattaishin.com/dandivine, and the studio note is on the Good Smile portal.
