Japanese Ramen Simulator 100k copies: roadmap with karaage and security turrets

The ramen shop management simulator Japanese Ramen Simulator has surpassed 100,000 copies sold in roughly one week since its Early Access launch on Steam on October 9, 2026. Developer Wild Dog published the update roadmap with new items, systems and content expansions.

What happened?

The game, supporting up to 6 players in online co-op (or solo with NPCs), puts players in full control of a ramen shop: from ingredient prep, noodle cooking, dish assembly, customer service to cleanup and shop design. According to the official Steam announcement, the title reached 100k sales and thanks support via streams and videos.

The roadmap is split into early, mid and late stages:

  • Early: Karaage (Japanese fried chicken), staff customization, new critics, meal ticket machine, water dispenser, level cap to 35.
  • Mid: New staff roles (gyoza and beer), custom sounds, fried rice, security turrets, layout presets, text chat, level cap to 40.
  • Late: New ramen varieties, ramen stalls, gambling games, noodle making and photo mode.

Why does this matter?

The rapid success of Japanese Ramen Simulator highlights the popularity of niche simulators in Japan and the West. The team researched real shops, recorded kitchen sounds and used material scans for realism. Music is by Tatsuya Yano (Atelier, Palworld).

With positive Steam reviews (around 91%), the roadmap shows commitment to community feedback, adding requested items like karaage and even turrets for shop “problems”.

What changes in practice?

Players can expect regular expansions that deepen management and humor. Early Access continues evolving based on fan support. The game is available on Steam. More details in the official announcement: Steam News.
