Isles of Sea and Sky arrives on Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2026 for $19.99. The oceanic puzzle adventure from Cicada Games, out on PC since 2024 after a Kickstarter, lands on the eShop and is listed as Switch 2 compatible.
What happened?
Nintendo’s store page and Gematsu confirmed the date. The file is about 500 MB on both generations. TV, tabletop and handheld modes are supported, along with many languages including Brazilian Portuguese and Japanese.
You wake as a castaway with no memory. Push blocks, unlock powers and meet friends who change puzzle layouts. There is no required order: if you get stuck, leave and come back later.
Why it matters
It is an open-world sokoban with a 16-bit look and a story told only in images. Thinky Games praised the depth behind the cute surface. On Switch, simple directional controls suit short sessions.
