iQOO has locked Tuesday (29) at 7 p.m. Beijing time for the iQOO 16 event. Sales in China start right after the show. The phone is the first on the market with a Samsung OLED panel that combines 2K resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate, according to iQOO and Samsung Display.
What iQOO has already confirmed
The panel uses Samsung M16 luminescent material, 2,800-nit global peak brightness and up to 10,000 nits locally. Multi-finger touch sampling reaches 500 Hz. iQOO describes unit-by-unit color calibration and a custom IC to hold 2K at 165 Hz.
Official colors are Chasing Light (holographic red-blue shift), Legend (light gray) and Racing Track (dark matte). The rear camera cluster uses the “Tomorrow’s Porthole” look.
What is still a leak
Reports point to an 8,400 mAh battery, 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging, and three 50 MP cameras. The chip most often cited is Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme. Treat those figures as unverified until Tuesday.
The same event is expected to include the iQOO Pad Ultra, an 8.8-inch OLED tablet. iQOO 16 should ship with OriginOS 7. No global price or Brazil date has been announced.
