Hungry Horrors 1.0 launches October 13 on Steam after Early Access

Hungry Horrors 1.0 leaves Early Access and launches its full version on October 13, 2026 on Steam, after two and a half years of development and very positive reviews.

What happened?

Independent studio Clumsy Bear Studio announced that the deckbuilding game Hungry Horrors 1.0 based on British and Irish folklore will exit Early Access on October 13. Since January 2026, the title has maintained around 98% Very Positive ratings across more than 250 reviews.

The full version of Hungry Horrors 1.0 includes 8 biomes from the British Isles, 34 folklore Horrors such as Dullahan and Jenny Greenteeth, 62 dishes based on traditional recipes, and 13 legendary characters.

Why does this matter?

Hungry Horrors stands out by inverting combat logic: instead of defeating monsters, the player must feed them with food cards before they devour you. The meta progression system with the Book of Taliesin and Campaign and Banquet modes offer replayability.

What changes in practice?

The game Hungry Horrors 1.0 will be available for around 1,700 yen (with launch discount), optimized for Steam Deck, and brings the end of the story of the princess and the Horrors. Ideal for fans of card roguelites and folklore.
