Honor CEO Li Jian disclosed the price of the Honor Magic9 four days before the official event in Beijing on September 28 at 14:30. The 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage model lists at 6,499 yuan, drops to 5,999 yuan for the Magic series 10th-anniversary deal and reaches 5,499 yuan with China national subsidy.
What happened?
In a Thursday post, Li Jian said 2026 marks ten years of the Magic line. Honor already confirmed same-day sales after the Honor Magic Ceremony.
Chinese reports and GSMArena describe the expected vanilla spec: 6.37-inch 1.5K 120 Hz LTPS flat panel, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 8,000 mAh Qinghai Lake battery with 80 W wired and 50 W wireless charging, 55 MP square selfie camera, 200 MP 1/1.4-inch main sensor, 50 MP ultrawide and 200 MP 3.5x periscope. A 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader and IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings are also cited.
Why it matters
Flagship memory and silicon costs rose this cycle. The vivo X500 12+512 GB is 5,999 yuan and the OPPO Find X10 16+512 GB is 6,499 yuan. A subsidized 5,499 yuan Magic9 undercuts those peers while keeping a compact screen, a large battery and dual 200 MP cameras.
Honor is also pushing an ARRI partnership on the standard model, plus 500 mm and 200 mm add-on converters.
What changes in practice
Buyers in China can pre-order now for delivery from September 28. The family should also include a Pro Max and a Super edition with an active fan; those prices are still unannounced. Higher-clock Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 parts are tied to Pro models.
Global pricing remains unconfirmed. Treat 5,499 yuan as a domestic subsidized reference, not an international MSRP.
