The Gundam X 30th anniversary project released a new key visual on Japan’s harvest moon and confirmed a special screening this Sunday, September 27, 2026, at TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro in Tokyo.
What happened?
The official After War Gundam X site posted the visual on September 25 to match chuushu no meigetsu. The moon is a core motif of the 1996 series. Character art is by Nobuyoshi Nishimura and mecha art by Junya Ishigaki, featuring Garrod Ran, Tiffa Adill and Gundam DX.
The campaign line is “the moon is always there,” the title of episode 39. Bandai Namco Filmworks Selection Vol. 1 is already showing episodes 1, 14, 29 and 39 at five Japanese theaters.
