Gundam Rogue Orbit received a gameplay walkthrough trailer of about three minutes, published by Bandai Namco on October 6, 2026. The high-mobility action game is still set to launch on March 5, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
What happened?
Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Bandai Namco Studios released the video as a longer first look at fast combat on Mars, according to Gematsu. The publisher describes Gundam Rogue Orbit as a high-mobility action game and a new take on Gundam, with cinematic fights in an all-new universe.
The player pilots Gundam Helix alongside a crew of unsung soldiers facing an unknown threat. Combat is melee, fast, and heavy: each fight rewards reading, execution, and short decisions. Bandai Namco positions the story as an entry point for newcomers and an evolution for longtime fans.
The March 5, 2027 date had already been announced in September, also via Gematsu. That date trailer showed pilot RE-X controlling Helix with support from Vii, an assist Haro. The plot sets the pair against the Apocalypse. Named characters include Sofia, who watches RE-X, and April, captain of the ship Stellarvane.
Why it matters
A single-player Gundam action game with Mobile Suit customization is a different cut from the franchise's team shooters. September's material showed equippable weapons, frames, thrusters, and Apocalypse Units (AP-U), plus color schemes. October's walkthrough deepens the combat rhythm of Gundam Rogue Orbit without moving the release window.
