The miniature game GUNDAM ASSEMBLE arrives on October 31, 2026, with a worldwide release in part of the markets, according to Bandai Spirits Hobby Division. The idea is to battle with Gunpla about 5 cm tall, combining miniature units and tactic cards.
What happened?
Bandai Spirits detailed the schedule on October 2. The entry product is GUNDAM ASSEMBLE STARTER SET 01, priced at 3,850 yen including tax, rated 15 and up. The company says the box has what is needed to play: six miniatures, six unit cards, 18 tactic cards, one map and a set of ten-sided dice.
The starter miniatures are RX-78-2 Gundam, Char's Zaku, Wing Gundam Zero EW, Gundam Epyon, Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex and Gundam Vidar. The base rules are built for squads of at least three versus three, with short matches.
Why it matters
Gunpla is already a build-and-paint hobby. GUNDAM ASSEMBLE tries to turn those small kits into game pieces, in the same space as tabletop wargames, but mixing Universal Century, After Colony, Post Disaster and Iron-Blooded Orphans from the first set. Collectors get another use for the plastic. Players get a cheaper door than large display kits.
Two expansion packs at 3,300 yen ship the same day. EX01 includes Unicorn Gundam in Destroy Mode, Tallgeese and Delta Plus. EX02 was also announced at 3,300 yen. November brings Deluxe Set 01 at 9,900 yen plus EX03 and EX04 at 3,300 yen each.
