Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV part 1 arrives October 15 with SUGO and six cars

The first part of the free Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV update arrives on October 15, 2026. The date was confirmed this Saturday, October 3, during round three of the Gran Turismo World Series in Singapore and posted on the series' official site.

Spec IV is the 30th-anniversary update for Gran Turismo, announced on September 3. It is too large for a single drop: part 1 ships in October and part 2 is set for December, with no exact day yet.

What happened?

Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment showed the part 1 trailer at the Singapore event. The official note says the October 15 package adds the new Sportsland SUGO circuit, six cars and a set of features already listed in the September announcement.

The October car list, reported by Traxion from the broadcast, includes the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta 1994, Honda Civic Si Group A Version 1987, Citroën 2CV 6 Charleston 1986, Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line 2023, Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo 2026 and Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo.

The official site confirms the track and the six cars, but does not print that model-by-model list. The Ferrari F355 is the most discussed addition: the fixed-roof coupe, with the 3.5-liter V8 from the 1994–1999 generation, was still missing from the current roster.

Why it matters

Sportsland SUGO is a real circuit on the Japanese calendar, used by Super GT and Super Formula. The track already hosted Nations Cup qualifying at this round and will be free for anyone who owns Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4.

Part 1 features, announced in September and restated at the event, include the Vintage section, Car Concierge, Experience mode, Car Viewer and a higher Collector Level cap. Traxion also described a short Xiaomi EV Experience segment, with time targets on track sections.

What changes in practice?

Owners do not pay for the pack. From October 15, SUGO and the first six cars become part of career, online races and the garage. The December half is expected to add Autumn Ring, six more cars, Family mode, Shuffle Race, Online Drift Trial, a new step for the Gran Turismo Sophy AI and a Power Pack difficulty.

The official Gran Turismo site published the note. The car-list coverage ran at Traxion.
