Santa Monica Studio confirmed that pre-orders for God of War Laufey begin Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The game launches on PlayStation 5 on February 16, 2027 and, for the first time in a mainline entry, puts Faye (Laufey) at the center of the campaign.
The announcement was published on the PlayStation Blog by Grace Orlady, communications director at the studio. Besides the editions, the post describes Faye's new arsenal in the Everywhen — the afterlife of the gods where the story takes place.
Pre-order bonuses
Buying the game before launch includes the Last Wish Armor Set, the Phranque Golden Leaves cosmetic, and an in-game resource pack. On the physical Standard Edition, pre-order bonuses come as a download code. In-game items unlock through story progression.
Digital Deluxe
The Digital Deluxe adds the Dark Alchemy Armor Set, Blade, Bow Scales and Catalyst, another resource pack, a digital mini artbook and the official digital soundtrack. Sony has not announced a physical Collector's Edition.
How Faye fights
The new weapon is the Serpent Bow, an enchanted bow that shifts like a serpent between ranged and close combat. Full-aim offers precision and a five-arrow volley; half-aim is a mobile hip-fire stance. Arrow types and Serpent Scales change both look and perk. Blade, Scales and Catalysts form the customizable loadout.
The studio presents Faye as an expert warrior, not a copy of Kratos' kit.
