Girls und Panzer All-Star Tank Carnival arrives on Switch 2 in 2027

Girls und Panzer All-Star Tank Carnival arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 in Japan in 2027. D3 Publisher announced the tank action game on Friday, October 9, 2026. The price has not been revealed and there is no exact date.

The title is being made by the same team behind Girls und Panzer: Dream Tank Match, the franchise tank game released on PlayStation 4 and Switch. The publisher says it wants to keep that game's combat pace while updating graphics and presentation.

What the game promises

On the official site, D3 describes Girls und Panzer All-Star Tank Carnival as an action game in which the player pilots tanks in combat. Listed mechanics include close-range fights with drifting, armor angling, and shooting treads to immobilize an opponent. There is also a mode for walking around Oarai, the anime's central town.

In online battles, players can use tank and crew combinations in matches with up to 10 people, according to Gematsu's summary of the game site.

Why the date matters

The announcement lands on the day the first season of Girls und Panzer, directed by Tsutomu Mizushima, marks 14 years since episode 1 aired in 2012. The series treats simulated tank battles, called senshadou, as a school activity. Japanese outlets also noted that screenings of episode 5 of the Final Chapter film began on October 9.

The series' official account marked the start of a project toward the 15th anniversary, with further announcements expected from early 2027. Separately, Anime News Network reported a second game, Girls und Panzer: Bokosuka Rush, from G Holdings, aimed at smartphones. Date and price for that mobile title were not firmed up in the sources checked.

What is still unconfirmed

There is no exact date, price, or confirmation of a release outside Japan for Girls und Panzer All-Star Tank Carnival. The confirmed platform so far is Nintendo Switch 2.
