The wait is over for Gachiakuta readers: the manga returns from hiatus on November 11, 2026, in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine. The return was announced by creator Kei Urana on X on October 15 and picked up again this Thursday (October 23) by ComicBook, after more than three months without a new chapter.
The hiatus began on August 5, when the magazine published its combined issue 36/37. Since then, the Weekly Shonen Magazine website said the break was so Urana could conduct research for the story's upcoming arcs. On September 8, Kodansha said it would announce the return date once it was decided — which happened with the creator's announcement on October 15.
What returns on November 11
The return continues the chapter left unfinished in August, titled “Forgot Something?”. Coverage differs, however, on the numbering: Anime Explained treats the material as the second half of chapter 173, while ComicBook refers to it as chapter 174. What is confirmed is the date — November 11 — and the end of the hiatus; the exact numbering should be confirmed in the magazine issue itself.
What Gachiakuta is
