Forza Horizon 6 PS5 arrives January 26, 2027 with early access

The Forza Horizon 6 PS5 version arrives on January 26, 2027, in physical and digital editions. Premium Edition buyers get in five days earlier, on January 21, at 12:01 a.m. local time. In U.S. territories the unlock follows 12:01 a.m. EST. Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games confirmed the date on October 8 on the series official site.

What happened?

The Japan-set racer has been on Xbox Series and PC since May 2026, including Game Pass. A PlayStation 5 release had been promised for 2026 and is now set for January. Panic Button handled the conversion with Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios.

Every PS5 gets a 4K 30 fps Quality mode and a 60 fps Performance mode. The pre-order trailer was captured on a base PS5 in 4K/30. Standard and Deluxe launch on January 26. Premium adds early access on January 21, VIP, Welcome Pack, Car Pass, Time Attack Car Pack, Italian Passion Car Pack and both premium expansions.

Any PlayStation Store pre-order includes a pre-tuned Ferrari J50 after the prologue. The first premium expansion arrives on January 21, 2027 on every platform, with a free update.

Why it matters

Forza Horizon 6 PS5 continues the path opened by Horizon 5 on Sony’s console. Japan includes more than 550 real cars, Tokyo as the series largest urban area, touge battles and the 2025 GR GT Prototype cover car. The slip from 2026 is real, but PS5 arrives with the first expansion.

What changes in practice

Pre-orders are open on the PlayStation Store, with a disc edition at supporting retailers. Unlock is 12:01 a.m. local time on January 21 for Premium and January 26 for everyone else.
