Fortnite x Five Nights at Freddy's is official. Epic Games confirmed Scott Cawthon's horror series joins Battle Royale for Fortnitemares 2026 starting October 1. The official announcement became Epic's most-liked crossover post, beating Dragon Ball Z, Naruto and the Avengers.
What arrives on the map
The Fortnite x Five Nights at Freddy's trailer shows Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria as a point of interest. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy appear as animatronic bosses. Epic said the Fazbear Band has taken over the mode: face the bosses and survive the night.
The pizzeria had already been taking shape on the island during the Override season. Security cameras and FNAF-style lines also showed up in recent teasers.
Skins and cosmetics
Coverage aligned with the trailer points to skins for the four original animatronics, each with a Withered style, plus back blings, instruments and emotes. Reports say players may transform into the bosses. Epic has not yet published a full official item shop list.
Why it matters
FNAF is one of the most requested crossovers in Fortnite history. Cawthon tightly controls the brand; the partnership arrived only after years of speculation.
