The FFXIV Fan Festival in Tokyo received an official stage schedule on Monday, October 5, 2026. Square Enix published the lineup for Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo. The event runs October 31 and November 1, and most programs outside the music stages will be streamed for free.
The centerpiece of day one is the opening keynote. According to the official festival page, producer and director Naoki Yoshida takes the stage from 11:00 to 13:00 Tokyo time to discuss upcoming developments. Japanese coverage from GameSpark frames the session as the place where a new update on the 2027 expansion Shirogane no Wanderer (Silver Wanderer) is expected. The official page, however, only describes the talk as covering “new developments” — there is no confirmation yet that a trailer or a date will be shown.
What is on the schedule
- 11:00–13:00: Yoshida’s keynote on the future of FFXIV.
- 15:00–16:30: semifinal of the Crystal Conflict Region Championship 2026 Japan, with four teams that already cleared qualifying. Yoshida is listed as a commentator.
- 16:30–17:00: a timed Q&A in which Yoshida tries to answer as many player questions as possible.
The Japan Crystal Conflict final is also set for day one. On Sunday, November 1, the official site lists a special THE PRIMALS concert at 19:00, with a cinema support screening.
Why it matters
Fan Festival is where the FFXIV team usually shows the direction of the next expansion, combat changes, and the patch calendar. With Shirogane no Wanderer aimed at 2027, the two-hour talk is the first major public checkpoint of the Tokyo cycle. Players without a ticket can still follow most of the schedule live.
