Deep Rock Galactic Survivor arrives on PlayStation 5 on October 7, 2026, and on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 9, according to Ghost Ship Publishing and Funday Games. The game was already on Xbox Series, PC, and mobile; the miner-dwarf survivor-like now reaches Sony and Nintendo shelves.
What happened?
Ghost Ship Publishing and developer Funday Games confirmed the dates in a September 29 announcement, reported by Gematsu and Japanese site Game*Spark. The PlayStation 5 version of Deep Rock Galactic Survivor ships on October 7. Switch and Switch 2 editions follow on October 9.
Deep Rock Galactic Survivor entered PC Early Access on February 14, 2024. The full release reached Xbox Series and PC, via Steam and the Microsoft Store, on September 17, 2025. iOS and Android editions followed in November 2025, according to the schedule published by Gematsu.
In the same news drop, the companies announced the Knockout expansion. It adds the Brawler class, the Sandblasted Corridors biome, and a high-risk mission with new objectives and a boss. No release date for that expansion has been given.
Why it matters
Survivor-likes, the genre popularized by Vampire Survivors, sell well on handhelds. Switch 2 and PS5 widen the audience of a spin-off that already had a base on Xbox and PC. The original Deep Rock Galactic, from Ghost Ship Games, is a co-op space-mining game; Survivor is single-player, top-down, with auto-fire and terrain destruction.
- PS5: October 7, 2026
- Nintendo Switch and Switch 2: October 9, 2026
- Already available: Xbox Series, PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), iOS and Android
- Knockout DLC: Brawler class, Sandblasted Corridors biome, and a boss mission, no date
What changes in practice
Players on Sony's console can download Deep Rock Galactic Survivor from October 7. On Switch and Switch 2, the debut is two days later. Regional pricing was not detailed in the international announcement cited by Gematsu. Knockout still has no release window, so it is not part of day one on the new console versions.
