Dead by Daylight puts NieR:Automata's 2B and A2 in the Fog, with an Emil look for The Legion

Behaviour Interactive has put NieR:Automata inside Dead by Daylight. The collaboration, announced by the developer and reported by Anime News Network from a press release and the game's official accounts, brings 2B and A2 outfits for survivors and an Emil-inspired set for a killer.

The legendary outfits are 2B for Feng Min and A2 for Yui Kimura. On the killer side, The Legion receives a Very Rare outfit inspired by Emil. ANN points to Tuesday, October 6, as the launch date of the partnership. Japanese coverage, including the Kamigame guide, records the skins going on sale in the in-game store from midnight on October 7 in Japan.

What enters the Fog

The sources consulted do not describe a new map, an original playable killer or a narrative chapter. What is confirmed is cosmetic: two legendary YoRHa outfits and an Emil look for The Legion. Dead by Daylight had already partnered with Attack on Titan in 2022, Junji Ito in January 2025 and Tokyo Ghoul in March 2025.

NieR:Automata, from Square Enix and PlatinumGames, reached PlayStation 4 in Japan in February 2017 and North America and Europe in March of that year. The anime NieR:Automata Ver 1.1a premiered in 2023, with the second part in July 2024, and remains available on Crunchyroll.

For players on both sides, the news is a store update, not a rules change. 2B and A2 arrive as survivor costumes; Emil appears as a killer visual reference, not as a standalone character. Auric Cell prices circulate in Japanese guides, but they were not confirmed in the release cited by ANN.
