On October 8, 2026, MINTROCKET announced the final content pack for DAVE THE DIVER: a free expansion made with Unknown Worlds and set in the world of Subnautica 2. The DLC is planned for early 2027 and was shown at the Triple-i Initiative.
What changes in the game
The Subnautica 2 Content Pack sends Dave and Bancho on an interdimensional trip to the waters of Proteus. The pitch is to explore unfamiliar creatures, gather resources, unlock exotic recipes and help new characters, with periodic confrontations against the Leviathan.
Jaeho Hwang, MINTROCKET studio director, said in a statement that a Subnautica collaboration was a long-standing player request and that the Subnautica 2 team helped bring a different approach to underwater exploration. Anthony Gallegos, creative director of Subnautica 2, called the expansion a love letter to both universes.
DAVE THE DIVER is already available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Switch 2 and mobile. The new pack was confirmed as free. An exact date inside early 2027 and the full creature list have not been detailed yet.
