CONTROL Resonant New Game++: Remedy outlines post-launch plans with Photo Mode

CONTROL Resonant New Game++ is Remedy's first official note after launch. On September 25, 2026 the studio sketched what comes next for the paranatural action RPG starring Dylan Faden in Manhattan.

What happened?

CONTROL Resonant launched on September 24, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The next day Remedy posted initial post-launch plans on the Steam News Hub: New Game++, Photo Mode and more cosmetics. No dates per feature.

The game passed 2 million wishlists before launch. Hotfix 1.3.3 cut enemy health and Falter requirements, boosted Dylan's combat, made respec cheaper and clarified Build Power and Aberrant Strength UI text.

Why it matters

CONTROL Resonant New Game++ signals a loop beyond a single campaign. Photo Mode and cosmetics are common requests in the warped Manhattan setting. Creative director Mikael Kasurinen said the project took seven years.

What changes in practice

Players who finished the story can expect a replay mode with extra progression, plus tools to capture fights and spaces. New players already have the combat hotfix. Remedy did not price New Game++ or say if Photo Mode ships in the same patch.
