Remedy Entertainment outlined the first post-launch plan for Control Resonant, the sequel that launched on September 24, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Finnish studio promised New Game++ in October and a Photo Mode in November, plus more cosmetics for Dylan Faden.
What happened?
In a Friday, September 25 note, Remedy said it is following community feedback on Control Resonant. The game already ships with New Game+, which carries Aberrant upgrades, combat improvements and artifacts into a fresh campaign — but not traversal abilities, to avoid sequence breaks.
Current New Game+ stops after that second run. New Game++ removes the cap so players can start run after run without wiping progress. Remedy put it bluntly: “Do 665 runs if you want!”
Photo Mode in Control Resonant is slated for November. The studio said the feature has been cooking for a while and that it consulted virtual photographers from the community. It missed launch because the team prioritized shipping the game in the best possible shape.
Why it matters
Control Resonant swaps the Oldest House for a warped Manhattan. That setting begs for a dedicated photo tool. New Game++ serves players who want to keep mixing Resonant powers without starting over.
The note does not confirm story DLC or a season pass. Extra Dylan cosmetics are planned with no date. Coverage suggests Control Resonant may stay a one-and-done campaign with quality-of-life support rather than a story expansion.
