Control Resonant: New Game++ in October and Photo Mode in November

Remedy Entertainment has outlined the first post-launch batch for Control Resonant, the sequel that launched on September 24, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. In an official Steam post, the Finnish studio confirmed New Game++ for October and a Photo Mode for November, along with more cosmetics for Dylan Faden.

What New Game++ changes

New Game+ shipped at launch and lets players restart the campaign with most of Dylan's paranatural upgrades. Traversal powers stay locked out to avoid sequence breaks. The catch, Remedy says, is that the extra run ends and progress must be wiped before another loop.

New Game++ removes that cap: players will be able to chain NG+ runs without erasing unlocks. The studio's line was blunt: “Do 665 runs if you want!” No exact October date was given.

Photo Mode and cosmetics

Photo Mode missed day one because the team prioritized stability and the campaign. Remedy says it is building the tool with input from community virtual photographers. The announced window is November.

More outfits for Dylan will arrive in later updates without a calendar. Extra cosmetics already exist for newsletter subscribers, plus a test-dummy outfit via Twitch Drops.

Why it matters

Control Resonant launched around 83 on Metacritic with NG+ at release, but without a capture tool and with a hard replay ceiling. The post-launch plan does not promise narrative DLC right now; the focus is looping, photography and looks.
