The Clayman's Revenge anime is confirmed for April 2027, and Season 4's third cour of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) returns in July. The reveal followed the end of the current season's first two cours on September 25.
What happened?
Staff released a special video featuring Rimuru and Clayman plus a teaser visual for the spin-off. Season 4 was already planned as a five-cour run, so the third block is the middle of the story, not the finale. Studio 8bit remains on the main series.
Clayman's Revenge adapts Wataru Kajika's manga from an original story by Fuse. After Clayman's defeat at Walpurgis, the plot sends him about 70 years into the past on an alternate path. Takehito Koyasu reprises the demon lord.

Fuse said the idea started almost as an aside and that the speed of the anime announcement made even him nervous. Kodansha's English digital edition (K Manga) reached volume 9 in August 2026.
Why it matters
TenSura is not wrapping in 2026. After the Tears of the Azure Sea film and the ongoing fourth season, 2027 adds a second narrative track built around the saga's most theatrical antagonist.
What changes in practice
Viewers have about six months before the Clayman's Revenge anime and nine before cour 3. The main season remains under Naokatsu Tsuda. This announcement does not date cours 4 and 5.
