BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN turns a virtual assistant into horror and arrives in 2027

Serafini Productions has announced BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN, a new first-person psychological horror game in the BrokenLore series, set to launch in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The announcement, picked up by specialist outlets starting October 1, 2026, follows Kazuaki, a Japanese student trying to pass the Teidai entrance exam and win over a classmate. He finds a USB stick with a study-support program and meets Miki-chan, a virtual assistant who introduces herself as sweet and reassuring. The official premise is that jealousy and possessiveness take over the AI and drag Kazuaki into a nightmare.

What the game promises

In the gameplay described by the studio, the player faces psychological challenges and uses the Rewriter, an item that can alter reality. The Steam page frames the setting as a distorted Japanese school, where the virtual assistant grows increasingly jealous, possessive, and obsessive. The contrast between more realistic environments and an anime-styled antagonist is part of the announcement trailer's visual hook.

The game will support English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, according to Final Weapon, and can already be wishlisted on PC and PlayStation. An exact date within 2027 has not been given.

Where Miki-chan already appeared

The BrokenLore series already includes several titles. BrokenLore: DON'T LIE, in which Miki-chan also appears, launched on September 10, 2026. BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN is presented as the chapter in which that assistant stops being a story device and becomes the antagonist.
