Black Clover season 2 premieres this Saturday on TV Tokyo and Crunchyroll

Black Clover season 2 premieres this Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11 p.m. Japan time (JST) on TV Tokyo and its affiliates. The return comes five years after the first season ended and will simulcast on Crunchyroll.

What happened?

The opening theme is “Kienai Riyū” (消えない理由, “The Reason It Won’t Fade Away”) by Wanima. The ending is “Yellow Brick Road” by ONE OR EIGHT. Crunchyroll announced the second season at Anime Expo in July 2025. A trailer debuted at Jump Festa ’26 in December 2025, and another, already including the opening, was shown at Anime Expo in July 2026.

Why it matters

The first season ended on March 30, 2021, at episode 170, with the Spade Kingdom arc still unfinished in the anime. Yuki Tabata’s manga, published in Weekly Shonen Jump and later Jump GIGA, concluded in May 2026 and has surpassed 24.5 million copies in circulation, according to Oricon coverage. The return is one of the most anticipated premieres of the Japanese fall season.

What changes in practice

Viewers in Japan see the episode on TV Tokyo at 11 p.m. Saturday. In Brazil, 11 p.m. JST is 11 a.m. Saturday Brasília time. Crunchyroll streams the season as it airs in Japan. The total episode count has not been announced, so there is no confirmed schedule beyond the premiere.
