The Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival Online 2026 showed on Saturday, October 3, the first full promotional video for the anime of Biblia Koshodo no Jiken Techo (The Case Files of Biblia Bookstore / Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia's Case Files). The concrete news is the premiere window for Biblia Koshodo: April 2027 in Japan.
En Mikami's series already had an anime announced for 2027, directed by Mamoru Kanbe at CloverWorks. What changes now is the date and a block of cast and staff that had not been presented. Today's material does not give an exact day or an international streaming platform.
Who joins the cast
- Reo Osanai as Ayaka Shinokawa
- Wataru Takagi as Shida
- Yōhei Azakami as Kikuya Kasai
- Saeko Kamijō as Nao Kosuga
The already announced leads remain: Riko Akechi as Shioriko Shinokawa and Shunsuke Takeuchi as Daisuke Gōra.

Direction stays with Mamoru Kanbe, assistant direction with Ayako Kurata, series composition with Toshiya Ono, character design with Jun Nakai and music with Takahiro Obata. Crunchyroll also highlighted the trailer and those four names.
What the story is
The story is set at the antiquarian bookshop Biblia in Kamakura. Shioriko Shinokawa knows rare volumes and deduces mysteries from small details. Daisuke Gōra accompanies her, though reading makes him dizzy. Customers arrive with old books and secrets.
Mikami started the series in 2011, with art by Hagu Koshijima. ASCII Media Works publishes the books under Media Works Bunko. Anime News Network cites more than 6.4 million copies and nominations for the Japan Mystery Writers Association Award in the long-story category in 2012 and 2014. There was a drama in 2013 and a live-action film in November 2018. An anime film project announced in 2017 was never released.
What is not confirmed
April 2027 is the Japanese window given at the festival. Day, broadcaster and whether Crunchyroll or another service will simulcast the series do not appear in today's announcement.
