Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 29, 2026, at 9 a.m. PT, for $29.99 on the eShop, with full cross-play support. The launch comes with Patch 4, described by Gameplay Group International and Paramount Games Studio as the game's biggest update since launch.
Patch 4 rebuilds Avatar State Aang and Nightmare Korra from the ground up, with new attacks and new super techniques, and rebalances the whole roster. Menus, character and stage select and the in-match HUD were redesigned, and the Avatar Road and Air Temple Island stages are now playable outside Story Mode, with music selectable from stage select.
Online, Ranked Mode 2.0 brings a rebuilt competitive ladder and spectating, with first-to-3 sets, while tutorials, Combo Trials and expanded Training Mode options help new players. Single-player content grows with Story Mode+, expanded Arcade, Story Mode difficulty settings and beginner-friendly lobbies.
Existing Switch owners will receive a free Switch 2 upgrade, still undated and listed as coming soon. The publisher also announced weekly online tournaments in partnership with Tampa Never Sleeps, with a $5,000 prize pool per tournament.
