Digital Bros confirmed that development of Armed Fantasia has been discontinued.
What happened?
The group stopped Armed Fantasia along with Directorate: Novitiate and a Battle Island sequel after attempts to revise gameplay, booking €17.6 million in write-offs for discontinued projects.
Armed Fantasia launched on Kickstarter in 2022 with Penny Blood, raising more than ¥379 million. Kaneko led Cross Order Tactics. 505 Games planned PS5, Xbox Series and PC. In March 2026 Wild Bunch submitted a vertical slice.
Why it matters
The 505 Games side of Armed Fantasia is over. Sony had declined to publish, Kaneko said in 2022. Kickstarter refunds are not confirmed.
