Ace Attorney Dual Destinies VR is the first virtual-reality version of a mainline Ace Attorney game. Amata Games, licensed by Capcom, confirmed a 2027 launch on the Meta Horizon Store for Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest Pro and the new Meta VR Glasses. In Japan the title is Gyakuten Saiban 5 VR.
What happened?
On September 24, 2026 Amata published a trailer, official site and spec sheet. Dual Destinies is the fifth mainline entry, originally released on Nintendo 3DS in 2013 and later included in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy. Ace Attorney Dual Destinies VR is a licensed remake, not a new sixth Capcom episode.
Players take on Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes, investigate scenes and confront witnesses. Amata lists more than 15 hours of single-player campaign and an IARC 12+ rating.
Why it matters
Ace Attorney Dual Destinies VR tries to turn the classic click into a gesture. Instead of picking a menu option, you inspect the courtroom up close, pick up evidence by hand and present it in a witness's face. Hand tracking with pinch and tap is the main scheme; traditional controllers still work.
The reveal lands as Meta pushes new glasses and Horizon as a storefront for lighter games. Ace Attorney Dual Destinies VR gives that store a known narrative IP that does not require shooter reflexes.
What changes in practice
