2XKO adds Samira and Sett on October 27, near the end of active development

2XKO adds Samira and Sett on October 27. Riot Games is putting both fighters into the free-to-play tag fighter based on League of Legends, which remains available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

Sett is the new piece. Samira was already on Riot's public roadmap as the champion targeted for late October in patch 1.3.3. In August, the company had described Samira as the project's last champion. The trailer and specialist coverage on Wednesday include Sett in the same October 27 package.

The calendar matters because 2XKO is in its final stretch. Riot said in August that active development ends in December 2026. Servers are expected to stay online after that. In an October 1 post on the game's site, the team also said most official communication ends on November 6, except for competitive events and patch notes.

What is still on the calendar

  • October 27: patch 1.3.3, with Samira; coverage of the announcement includes Sett on the same date.
  • November 6: end of most official communications.
  • Mid-November: a smaller balance and bug-fix patch, still described as a target, not a locked date.
  • December: a final bug-fix version if needed, and the end of active development.

The game still has a competitive calendar through the end of the year, including Evo France this weekend and events such as Battle Coliseum and MINDSET. The Ultimate bundle is also set to receive the remaining cosmetics, delivered automatically to people who already bought it.

For players, the practical news is a last batch of characters before 2XKO stops receiving major content. What is not yet detailed is Sett's full kit and whether a dedicated balance patch will follow the pair's debut.
