On October 1, 2026, IO Interactive released the free Extended Operations content for 007 First Light, bundled with update 1.3.0. It is not a paid expansion. It adds New Game Plus, a new difficulty, photo mode, two TacSim activities, weapons, outfits and a bulldog at MI6 headquarters.
New Game Plus opens only after the campaign is finished. Players can change outfits from the journal and restart from a checkpoint. Gadgets can also be swapped mid-mission, but only those the story has already handed over. 00 difficulty, the hardest setting, unlocks after the campaign. IO says enemies spot the player faster, hit harder and resources restore only a fraction of gadget use.
What lands in TacSim
- Valhalla Protocol: an activity with the armed Aston Martin Valhalla, machine guns and missiles, on Slovakian roads, with a score.
- Jungle Heist: an operation back at the Pearl Hotel in Vietnam to retrieve documents from a safe. Each attempt changes.
- New weapons: Storm 12 Gauge (level 20, 6,000 Intel) and Squire Marksman Rifle (level 18, 4,000 Intel).
- Observant Spy, Leisure Beam and First Class outfits, unlocked by default.
Photo mode freezes the scene and lets players adjust camera, filters, effects and poses. At HQ, next to Dr. Selina Tan's TacSim area, Jack the Bulldog appears and can be petted. Linking the game to an IOI account until November 1 unlocks the Grey Standard outfit. There is also a Twitch Drop called One More, running October 1 to 16.
The update improves reload, aim and weapon-swap animations. Bond can now be thrown off ledges, like his opponents. 007 First Light is already on PS5, Xbox Series and PC (Steam and Epic). The Switch 2 version remains set for March 2027.
