IO Interactive confirmed a free DLC for 007 First Light. The official X post asks players to tune in on October 1, the date when the package is expected to be detailed and, according to the game website, released.
What was said
The official post uses the line “A free DLC is just around the bend” and a video of a vehicle on a scenic road. There is no list of missions, weapons or cosmetics. What exists today is the commitment to a free pack and the October 1 date.
The game has already received free content, including update 1.1.0 with TacSim missions, a new weapon and cosmetics. The year-one roadmap also mentions an extra mission with Bawma, a character portrayed by Lenny Kravitz. None of that has been confirmed as the October drop.
Why it matters
007 First Light launched on May 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The Nintendo Switch 2 version was delayed to March 2027. Free packs are how the studio keeps the player base active while the Switch 2 port and the rest of Year 1 stay in production.
