The Xiaomi Vision GT arrives in Gran Turismo 7 in October and will be the first Vision Gran Turismo from a Chinese brand. Xiaomi Auto announced the entry on October 3, 2026. GTPlanet, covering the GT World Series in Singapore, reports that the car is part of the October half of the Spec IV update.
What happened?
Vision GT is the virtual concept-car program created by Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the Gran Turismo series at Polyphony Digital. Manufacturers design a dream car without the limits of mass production. Xiaomi told IT Home it is the 36th invited brand and that the Vision GT is the 51st car in the project. It also presents itself as the first technology company, rather than a traditional automaker, to join, and as the first Chinese brand invited.
The concept was shown in February 2026 at the global Xiaomi 17 event in Barcelona. Chief designer Li Tianyuan described the car as shaped by the wind: aerodynamic targets should come from the body itself, not from extra parts added only for looks. Xiaomi had already said in March that the Vision GT will not be mass-produced. It is a design exercise, not a showroom model.
Why it matters
Xiaomi's SU7 Ultra was already in Gran Turismo 7. The Vision GT is a different step: it joins the concept shelf next to Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini, not as a licensed road car. At the Singapore event, Xiaomi and Yamauchi also announced the series' first electric-driving tutorial, with the SU7 Ultra and Vision GT as lesson cars, according to Chinese coverage of the announcement.
GTPlanet was cautious on power figures. The site wrote that the exact in-game powertrain has not been published and that it would be surprising if it differed much from the SU7 Ultra layout. Horsepower and 0-100 times quoted by secondary outlets stay out of this piece until the game's official spec sheet lands.
What changes in practice
Gran Turismo 7 players on PS5 and PS4 should see the car in the October part of Spec IV, alongside other teased models. GTPlanet lists the BMW M5, Citroën 2CV, Honda Civic Mugen Motul, Honda Stepwgn and Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo among candidates for that wave. Xiaomi's announcement did not lock an exact patch date. What is set is the window: October.
