Xbox Game Pass has confirmed its first wave of additions for September 2026, headlined by the return of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to the catalog starting September 8, bringing its iconic Cold War-era campaign back for Ultimate, Premium, and PC subscribers.
Another major highlight on the Xbox Game Pass lineup is RuneScape: Dragonwilds, launching on September 15 as a co-op survival adventure where players must face dragons awakening from a long slumber. Rounding out this initial drop are Shelldiver (September 1), SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed (September 3), Dice a Million (September 4), The Royal Writ, and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage (both on September 10), alongside TCG Card Shop Simulator, which exits early access on September 15.
This good news comes with some departures: ten games are leaving Xbox Game Pass on September 15, including Cyberpunk 2077, Dead Cells, Spiritfarer, Frostpunk 2, and Train Sim World 5. Subscribers currently playing these titles can grab them at a discount before they are permanently removed from the catalog.
