What happened?
Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that the World of Warcraft Forever server stress test takes place today, October 21, 2026. Any player can participate without an active subscription, Game Time, invitation, or beta access.
The event allows the company to evaluate server capacity ahead of the permanent Forever mode launch, which promises an ever-evolving Azeroth.
Why does this matter?
World of Warcraft: Forever marks a new phase for Blizzard’s longest-running MMORPG. Unlike temporary classic servers, Forever aims to keep the game alive with continuous updates and a stable ecosystem. The stress test is critical for identifying performance bottlenecks and ensuring a smooth experience at launch.
Participation helps the community and gives fans a preview of the recreated environment.
