Until Dawn 2 gets exclusive gameplay showcase on December 11 at Alamo Drafthouse

PlayStation announced on November 2, 2026, in a post on X, that Until Dawn 2 will get an exclusive gameplay showcase on December 11, 2026 at Alamo Drafthouse. The event will also feature a horror movie marathon and special talent appearances, and the gameplay showcase will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.

Developed by Firesprite as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, Until Dawn 2 is a standalone story with a brand-new cast and characters. The game follows a group of ghost hunters travelling to document a mysterious abandoned resort, and player choices once again decide who lives and who dies, in the tradition of the first Until Dawn.

The launch is set for January 28, 2027, exclusively for PlayStation 5. The December showcase should be one of the game's last major presentations before release, a little under two months ahead of launch.

Details such as the marathon's movie lineup, the guests and information on tickets and the livestream have not been shared yet — PlayStation said only that more details are coming soon. The choice of Alamo Drafthouse, a cinema chain owned by Sony Pictures, underlines the cinematic character the series has always aimed for.
