Time Takers Steam playtest returns November 13 to 16

The Time Takers Steam Global Playtest returns for 72 hours. On October 7, 2026, NC announced the second public test of the time-survival shooter developed by Mistil Games. It is scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m. Japan and Korea time on November 13 — 8:00 p.m. on November 12 in Brasília — and end at 8:00 a.m. on November 16 in the same Asian time zone.

What happened?

The NC Japan statement on PR Times says the Time Takers Steam test runs on the store and that players must request access from the page. The official listing is store.steampowered.com/app/3596040/Time_Takers. The project site remains timetakers.plaync.com.

Time Takers is a third-person shooter planned as free-to-play. Four squads of three fight until one team remains. The core resource is Time Energy: time acts as health, progression and the match currency. Players collect it on the map, share it with teammates or take it from defeated opponents. Each character, called a Traveler, has a unique ability, and upgrades chosen during a match reshape the build.

Why it matters

This is not the first public look. NC already ran a closed test in March and a Steam Global Playtest in September. The company says playtime and repeat-play metrics rose in September compared with March. That line comes from the project team in the official release, not from a public report with absolute numbers.

Korean outlet Inven Global also logged the October 7 announcement and the same November 13–16 window. Japan's 4Gamer carried the story the same day. The match between NC's press release and Asian coverage lowers the chance of a wrong date.

What changes in practice?

The November Time Takers Steam build includes fixes requested after September. NC lists four areas:

  • combat balance and stronger character identity;
  • movement feel;
  • combat feedback and visibility;
  • matchmaking that accounts for skill and party composition.

A video explaining those changes went out on October 7. NC also warned that the schedule can change. There is no commercial launch date, only the plan for a free-to-play service.

Players need to request Steam access before or during the window. The test is not open all month: it lasts three straight days. Japanese sites quoting the store page cite an RTX 2070 and 16 GB of RAM as minimum and an RTX 3070 as recommended. Those figures come from store-page coverage, not the main press release, and NC can update them.
