The Witcher 3 Remastered received a patch on October 1, 2026. CD Projekt Red released the update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and the Xbox Play Anywhere PC version. The patch restores DLSS for players on the Play Anywhere PC build and adjusts interiors that were too dark.
What the patch fixes
In the post from the official Witcher account, CD Projekt Red lists a fix for a bug that blocked DLSS on the Xbox Play Anywhere PC version. With the update, Nvidia upscaling is an option again for GeForce owners in The Witcher 3 Remastered. The studio also describes “various lighting adjustments,” including interiors that appeared too dark.
On consoles, the update brings “various other adjustments” meant to keep the experience in line with PC. CD Projekt Red has not detailed that list. The patch was not announced for Nintendo Switch 2.
What is still open
The studio says it is preparing a separate PC hotfix for players who report trouble saving The Witcher 3 Remastered. The team is still looking into other reports on its support portal. In short: Play Anywhere DLSS and interior lighting are addressed in this update; saving is a promised fix, not a delivered one.
Remaster context
The Witcher 3 Remastered arrived this week on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC, both as a new product and as a free update for existing owners of The Witcher 3. It includes both previous expansions, visual upgrades, revised combat and traversal, a reworked skill tree and transmogrification. Video Games Chronicle reports that early reviews were broadly positive and cites a Metacritic score of 94 at the time of its story.
