Terraria+ arrives on Apple Arcade with the Bigger & Boulder 1.4.5 update, in a batch of five games. Re-Logic’s sandbox lands without ads or in-app purchases, and Terraria+ is the heaviest name in the update.
What landed on Arcade
According to Apple, as reported by 9to5Mac and IT Home, the batch mixes two service exclusives with three games that already existed on the App Store, now in a clean “+” edition.
- Terraria+: includes 1.4.5, with a Dead Cells crossover and iconic pals from Palworld. Players can explore more than 20 biomes and team up with up to seven friends via Game Center or local Wi-Fi.
- Pusheen’s Place: an Arcade exclusive where players build a Pusheen park, collect more than 100 cats and decorate rooms.
- River City Survivors: an exclusive horde-survival game with more than 20 characters, including Kunio and Riki, and up to two recruited partners.
- Touchgrind BMX 2+: a physics stunt game controlled with two fingers.
- 4 Pics 1 Word+: the Arcade edition of the four-picture puzzle, which Apple says has reached more than 400 million players in its original form.
Why it matters
Terraria is one of the longest-running sandboxes on PC and consoles, and the mobile version has always split players over its interface. On Arcade, the 1.4.5 content arrives inside the subscription, without a separate purchase. The Dead Cells crossover and Palworld pals also reach people playing on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV through the service.
The “+” strategy is not new: Apple takes known hits, strips ads and in-app purchases, and uses the name to pull in people who do not subscribe yet. This time the hook is stronger because 1.4.5 is Terraria’s recent major update, not a frozen older port. Subscribers get Terraria+ beside a catalog Apple already describes as more than 200 games.
What is still unclear
Neither Apple nor Re-Logic, in the notes cited by the outlets, detailed whether progress from the App Store version of Terraria carries over to Terraria+. The multiplayer described is Game Center and local Wi-Fi, not cross-play with PC or consoles.
