Bandai Namco and developer TOSE launched Tales of Eternia Remastered worldwide on Friday, October 16, 2026.
What happened?
The 2000 classic JRPG (released in the West as Tales of Destiny II) arrives remastered for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. In Japan the game arrived a day earlier, on October 15.
The remaster brings quality-of-life improvements: destination markers, option to disable random encounters, high-speed mode during auto-battle, and the ability to switch between remastered and original graphics and sound effects. The Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System (A-LMBS) remains, with real-time Artes and combos.
The story follows Reid Hershel and Farah Oersted, who meet Meredy and must prevent the "Great Fall", the collision between the worlds Inferia and Celestia.
Editions and price
The Standard Edition costs around US$ 29.99 / €29.99. The digital Deluxe Edition includes artbook, soundtrack, Battle BGM Pack and support items. The game is available now on the digital stores of the platforms.
