SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada, Bandai Namco's anime extraction shooter, is leaving live service. Online servers shut down from May 2027 and owners get a free offline version.
What happened?
Bandai Namco and Game Studio said on September 26, 2026 that SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada online service ends from May 2027, with an exact date early next year. The last content update ships in October 2026. Paid SYN COINS sales stop at 00:00 JST on December 18, 2026. Coins already bought last 150 days from first launch after purchase. Unused paid coins will not be refunded.
Anyone who owns SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada digitally or on disc gets the offline patch at no extra cost. Some progress and paid cosmetics (Magus outfits, Cradle/weapon skins) can migrate. Transfer tools are due in December 2026 and require an online launch during the official window. Skip it and the offline build starts on a fresh save.
Why it matters
Live-service extraction shooters often vanish when the player base collapses. SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada launched in January 2025 to a low Steam peak and mixed reviews. Turning the PvPvE loop into offline PvE is a rarer, fairer exit for paying players.
What changes in practice
After May 2027 there are no player-versus-player matches or server-only features. The exact shutdown date is due in March 2027. Individual questions go to Bandai Namco support, not the official X account.
