Japan-only Switch 2 gets a Choose-Your-Game bundle on November 12

On October 6, 2026, Nintendo announced the Switch 2 Japanese-Language System (Japan Only) Choose-Your-Game Bundle. It arrives in Japan on November 12 at a suggested price of 63,980 yen, tax included. The release is issued under Shuntaro Furukawa, president of Nintendo Co., Ltd.

The kit includes the Japanese-language console, restricted to the Japanese market, Joy-Con 2, dock, grip, wrist straps, AC adapter, USB-C cable, ultra high-speed HDMI cable, and a download-code insert. The code is valid through March 31, 2027, and is redeemed on Nintendo eShop. A Nintendo Account and internet access are required.

The three games

The buyer picks one digital title at no extra cost:

  • Mario Kart World, for Switch 2
  • Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, for Switch 2
  • Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, for Nintendo Switch

The third option is the only one published for the original Switch, not Switch 2. The release does not say whether the code can be used on another account or in another country. The product name states that the console is the Japanese-Language System, Japan only.

What changes on the shelf

The Switch 2 bundle is a hardware offer with a chosen game, not a new title. Mario Kart World and Sports Resort are already part of the Switch 2 line; Living the Dream is the catalog entry aimed at Switch. The 63,980 yen price sits below some international bundles that lock in one game, but a direct comparison is limited: this console is the domestic Japanese model.

Code instructions are on nintendo.com/jp. The release does not give a date for an equivalent bundle outside Japan.
