Spice and Wolf season 2 received, this Saturday, October 3, 2026, its first teaser with new animation and confirmation that Romi Park returns as Eve Bolan. The news came from the series stage at Dengeki Bunko Aki no Saiten Online 2026, the Dengeki Bunko autumn festival.
What happened?
The Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf teaser uses, for the first time in season 2, previously unseen animated footage. In it, traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence and wise wolf Holo meet a veiled figure: Eve Bolan, the trader who enters the road toward Yoitsu. Jun Fukuyama remains Lawrence and Ami Koshimizu remains Holo. Broadcast is set for 2027, with no premiere date locked.
Romi Park, who already played Eve in the earlier adaptation, released a comment with the character visual. She said she is glad to return to a long-loved world and that she tried to keep Eve's strength, intelligence and delicate feelings. The official credit is Isuna Hasekura and Kadokawa / Roen Commercial Guild.
Why it matters
Eve Bolan is the next major counterweight on the journey. She is not a generic fantasy villain: she is a negotiator who forces Lawrence to treat trade, information and risk as the same game. Bringing back the familiar voice shortens the gap between the Passione remake, which began airing in 2024, and the arcs fans still expect to see animated.
The teaser also locks the story direction. Lawrence and Holo keep traveling by wagon in search of the wolf's homeland, Yoitsu, and the next stop named is Lenos, a town where accounts of Holo remain. It is the stretch where the series mixes markets, debt and local politics instead of only widening the map.
What changes in practice?
Viewers can mark 2027, but this announcement does not confirm a month, a broadcaster or an international streaming window. The new material is the teaser, Eve's visual and Romi Park's return. Japanese coverage comes from Comic Natalie, based on the Kadokawa stage.
