Songs of Glimmerwick launches Wednesday, September 30, 2026, on PC via Steam. It is the new RPG from Eastshade Studios, the team behind Eastshade: a woodland magic academy where spells are cast by playing music, not by picking a menu command.
Players arrive already enrolled at Glimmerwick University, flute and songbook in hand. There are classes, clubs, a university garden, seasons, festivals and island mysteries. The tone is story-driven and unhurried.
What the game promises
- Narrative quests built around characters.
- A university garden with mundane and arcane plants.
- Every song a spell: speaking with trees, enchanting tools, raising the earth.
- Progression across gardening, trade or abilities such as talking to frogs.
A free demo has been on Steam since April. Console versions (PlayStation, Xbox and Switch) are confirmed without a date. The PC date was announced in August; the launch is today.
